- While fishing in shallow water (up to 5 meters depths) using red baits, this line will be more attracting for the preys because it mimics blood coming out of the bait itself: this of course increases the prey's chance of finding your bait, and also gives your bait a much more realistic look.
- While fishing in deep water (below 5 meters depths), the red colour of the line is the first one to progressively disappear due to light refraction reasons: thus, it becomes more and more invisible as your line sinks deeper
